4 men jailed over theft, sale of MC

BULACAN policemen on Tuesday arrested four men said to be involved in the theft and sale of a motorcycle in Santa Maria town, a report to Police Regional Office 3 director, Brigadier General Rhodel O. Sermonia said.

The four suspects were identified as Jubert Rosales alias ‘Ivan Silliave,’ a 26-year-old house painter, Ronaldo Araneta,32, a buy-and-sell agent, his brother Jonas,21; and Jerico Parayray,25. All four are residents of Barangay San Vicente in Santa Maria.

According to Santa Maria Municipal Police Station commander, Lieutenant Colonel Carl Omar Fiel, the four are now facing charges for violation of Republic Act 10883 or the New Anti-Carnapping Law and Presidential Decree 1612 or the anti-fencing act.

All four were arrested in separate anti-crime operations in the municipality at 9:30 p.m. Monday and 2:50 a.m. Tuesday, the official said.

According to Fiel, they conducted the sting after receiving a tip from an informant regarding the presence of a repored stolen motorcycle being sold online by one alias’ Ivan Silliave.’
