Four more prisoners who were released by the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) due to good conduct voluntarily surrendered to the Quezon City Police District (QCPD), joining eight previous surrenderers.
Quezon City Police District (QCPD) director, Police Brigadier General Joselito T. Esquivel Jr identified the four surrenderers as Mark Aspiras, 30, resident of Bgy. Old Balara; Bryan Echavez, 40, resident of No. 74 M. Almeda Pateros, Manila; Jovel Castro, 46, resident of No. 32 Liberation St., Bgy. San Isidro, Galas and Rolando Fabro, 48, resident of No. 141 Batanes St., Bgy. San Isidro, Galas.
Esquivel confirmed the voluntary surrender of the above Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) after they presented to the authorities certificate of discharge from prison.
Aspiras surrendered at about 12 noon Wednesday at Batasan Police Station (PS 6) under PLtCol. Joel Villanueva. He was convicted for robbery with homicide and was sentenced on April 28, 2006 by the RTC Branch 106, Quezon City.
He served his sentence at San Ramon Prison and Penal Farm, Zamboanga City before he was released from the penal institution on May 30, 2017.
Echavez, Castro and Fabro also surrendered at about 2 p.m., Thursday at the Galas Police Station (PS 11) under PLtCol. Alex Alberto.
Echavez was convicted for unlawful possession of firearms and qualified theft on June 04, 2004 and was discharged from Iwahig Prison and Penal Farm, Palawan last December 19, 2018.
