456 National Capital Region Police Office recruits begin 6-month training

NATIONAL Capital Region Police Office director, Major General Guillermo Lorenzo T. Eleazar yesterday led the turnover of their 456 recruits to the NCR Regional Special Training Unit which will supervise their grueling 6-months training.

The 456 were screened by the NCPRO Regional Personnel Records and Management Division before being turned over to the Regional Learning and Doctrine Development Division and finally to the NCR-RSTU training manager.

In his speech during the turnover ceremonies at Camp Bagong Diwa in Bicutan, Taguig City, Eleazar recalled his agreement with the police trainees when he himself presided their oath taking ceremony six months ago.

“When you took your oath, we have made an agreement with you and your family that you will be part of our program to continue the enhancement of the image and morale of the Philippine National Police.

‘Ang hamon ko i-absorb ang tama, maging mapanuri sa makikita, h’wag gawin ang tingin natin ay hindi tama dahil sa bandang huli, kayo rin ang mananagot sa mga gagawin ninyo’’ he told the 456 recruits who will begin to be immersed in actual police work in police stations as ‘observers.’

During their field training, the recruits will learn how actual policing is being conducted under the direct supervision of designated Field Training Officers.

Furthermore, the NCRPO chief reiterated the Duterte administration’s call to cleanse the organization of misfits and scalawags.

“To sustain this, dapat walang scalawag, walang misfit sa ating hanay at yan ang ating isusulong.
