5 hurt, 75 houses lost in Tondo fire

FIVE were wounded while 75 houses were razed to the ground when fire hit a commercial-residential area on Lico Street in Tondo, Manila early yesterday morning.

The Manila Fire Department (MFD) said that the fire began at the house of one Rolando Viray, located at No. 2608 Lico St. in Tondo at 12:54 a.m. and was contained at around 7 a.m. already.

Those wounded were Reynaldo Tostuna, Jr., 46; Mike Dumalanta, 23; Robert Santilises, 41; JL Data, 28 and Morishima Bulasa, 27.  They suffered wounds and bruises in the hands and body.

No one died in the said fire and the cause is still being determined by probers.
