Anti-narcotics operatives arrested six alleged illegal drug pushers, including a Grab Transport Network Vehicle Service (TNVS) driver, in latest anti-illegal drug and anti-criminality operations in Quezon City.
Quezon City Police District (QCPD) director Chief Supt. Joselito T. Esquivel Jr. identified the TNVS driver as Kristofer Jay Gavino, 37, of Sampaloc, Manila.
A buy-bust operation by Cubao Police Station (PS 7) resulted in the arrest of Brian Limbo, 37, Richard Basco, 40, both of Bgy. Socorro, Cubao; and Jefferson Bundok, 35, of Bulacan, at about 5 p.m. Sunday in Limbos’ residence at 22-A Liberty Ave., Bgy. Socorro, Cubao. Confiscated were 12 sachets of shabu, a cellphone and the buy-bust money.
Operatives of Masambong Police Station (PS 2) arrested Nomael Ubalde, 22, and Mary Jane Tagalan, 24, both of Bgy. Bungad, in a buy-bust operation at 6 p.m. Sunday along Fulgencio St. A concerned citizen reported to the police the illegal drug trade of the suspects. When verified, they caught the suspects in possession of two sachets of shabu.
The drug suspects were charged with violation of RA 9165 or the The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Esquivel commended the operatives for their relentless anti-illegal drug operations. He particularly lauded the arrest of Gavino which certainly raises concern being a TNVS driver.
