9 drug traders, P1.4M shabu seized in Caloocan

AUTHORITIES arrested nine alleged big-time drug suspects in a series of buy-bust operations resulting in the confiscation of more than P1.4 million worth of shabu in separate places Sunday evening and yesterday before dawn in Caloocan City.

Elements of Northern Police District (NPD) District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) led by P/Capt. Ramon Aquiatan, Jr. seized 51 grams of shabu worth P346,800 and P1.000 buy-bust money from the arrested suspects identified as Mark Titoy, 28, Jayson Urbano, 33, Allan Clavecillas, 50, Ronaldo Rodriguez, 36 and Juan Paolo Delfin, 34 in a drug sting at around 1 a.m. yesterday along M.H. Del Pilar St. 3rd Avenue, Bgy. 119.

NPD Director P/Brig. Gen. Ronaldo Ylagan said that prior to the arrest of the five drug suspects, Capt. Aquiatan and his men arrested Charisma Ycasas alias “Kate”, 40, call center agent and Marilou Mariano, 49 at around 12:30 a.m. at Room 2G, 349 A. Mabini St. Bgy. 18 after they handed a pack of shabu to a police poseur-buyer in exchange for P12,000 marked money composed of two pieces of genuine P1,000 bill and 10 pieces of boodle money.

Seized from the suspect were a sling bag containing 65 grams of shabu worth P442,000, P3,000 cash in different denominations, mobile phone, blue pouch and the marked money.

Earlier at around 10 p.m. on Sunday, Caloocan Police Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) led by P/Capt. Joel Guimpatan arrested Bryan Singuelo, 20 in a drug sting along Malaria Road, Bgy. 185 that resulted in the confiscation of 70 grams of shabu worth P476,000.

Prior to the arrest of Singuelo, DDEU operatives arrested Diogenes Mariano, Jr., 27 at 183 San Marcos St. Bgy. Maypajo at around 8:30 p.m. resulting in the confiscation of 30 grams of shabu with standard drug price worth P204,000, an improvised shot gun loaded with 12-gauge live ammunition, P500 marked money and mobile phone.
