Barangay head lauds Manila Police District chief

CHAIRMAN  Jaime ‘Jimmy’ Adriano of Barangay 179, Zone 78, District V in Malate, Manila, yesterday lauded and backed Manila Police District (MPD) director Chief Supt. Vicente Danao, Jr. for appealing to those behind the dumping of fecal wastes in his barangay to surrender, with a warning that he (Danao) will make the suspect or suspects drink what he or they dumped if the police catch him or them.

Adriano lamented that based on information gathered by his office, the said incident that took place Monday at around 8:40 p.m. was the second time that such happened in the same area.

Citing a footage taken by the barangay’s closed-circuit television camera, Adriano said that the plate number of the said truck is either AXN-486 or TNV 486, since the footage needs enhancement.

It was learned that on the said time and day, Adriano received a report that a truck was dumping what appeared to be human wastes in a drainage in front of the Orchid Garden Suites along Pablo Ocampo, Sr. Street in Malate, Manila. When Adriano and his men arrived in the area, the truck was already gone.

Adriano lamented and expressed wonder why of all places, such dumping of fecal wastes would be done in his area of jurisdiction which is but small and considering that there are 896 barangays in Manila.

Meanwhile, Danao said he had ordered an investigation and ruled out that the said incident had anything to do with politics.
