A CLOSE-IN security of actress-singer Sarah Geronimo hired by his family was hurt after the actress’ newly-wed husband Matteo Guidicelli punched him for allegedly leaking to Sarah’s mother the couple’s secret civil wedding Thursday night in Taguig City.
Taguig police chief Col. Celso Rodriguez said Jerry Tamara, 31, of No. 1000 Mindanao Avenue, Quezon City, personally appeared at their office and accused Guidicelli of punching him on the throat during the wedding rites at the Shangri-La Hotel in Bonifacio Global City, at around 11 p.m.
Col. Rodriguez said Guidicelli accused Tamara of leaking his secret civil marriage with Geronimo after Sarah’s mother “Mommy Divine” unexpectedly arrived at the venue and allegedly wanted to talk to her daughter.
Mommy Divine reportedly expressed her disapproval of Sarah’s relationship with the actor after the couple announced their engagement in November last year which prompted the family to hire Tamara as a close-in security of the actress.
Guidicelli allegedly confronted Tamara when Mommy Divine arrived at the venue to ask for a moment to talk with her daughter that resulted in their heated altercation.
At the height of their argument, the actor allegedly punched Tamara, hitting him on the throat.
Tamara, after showing his temporary medical certificate, refused to file a physical injury case against Guidicelli and only asked the desk officer to put the incident on blotter for record purposes.
