Bullet-riddled car abandoned

AUTHORITIES are now conducting an investigation an abandoned vehicle found riddled with bullets Friday afternoon in Caloocan City.

Caloocan police deputy chief for administration Supt. Ferdinand Del Rosario, said the vehicle, a white Kia Rio with plate number PQC-284, was found abandoned along Yakal Street, Pleasant View Subdivision, Bagbaguin, Bgy. 165 at around 5 p.m.

A witness, Fernando Natabio, 42, mechanic of Everlasting St. Pleasant View Subdivision told police that the vehicle has been abandoned for almost a month but no one has bothered to report it to the police until he decided to call the attention of the Anti-Carnapping Unit (ANCAR).

During closer inspection by elements of Caloocan police ANCAR, they found five gunshot entries at the left door of driver side and one on the left side of the rear door but no blood stains in or around the vehicle.

However, police found documents in the vehicle’s compartment including Travellers Insurance Surety Corp. under the name of Manuel Guivelle, Pampanga electric bill and emission Test receipt.

Police said the vehicle was temporarily under the custody of Barangay 165 pending the verification of its registered owner before the Land Transportation Office (LTO).
