AUTHORITIES busted the tandem of a man and a woman selling illegal drugs following a buy-bust operation conducted against them before dawn yesterday in Caloocan City.
Caloocan police chief P/Col. Noel Flores said the arrest of Geraldine Flores, 38, of Phase 6 Bgy. 178 and Edward Ortiz, 21 of Asero St. Phase 6 Bgy. 178, Camarin resulted in the recovery of more or less 40 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P272,000.
In a report submitted to the office of Northern Police District (NPD) Director P/Brig. Gen. Ronaldo Ylagan, operatives of Caloocan Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) led by its deputy chief P/Capt. John David Chua conducted a buy-bust operation against the duo at around 1 a.m. in an unnumbered house along Phase 6, Camarin following more than two weeks of surveillance operation.
P/Cpl. Jimmel Mayhay, who acted as poseur-buyer, was able to purchase a medium heat sealed transparent plastic sachet from Flores amounting to P8,500.
When Flores and Ortiz received the marked money composed of P500 genuine bill and eight P1,000 boodle money, Capt. Chua and his men immediately pounced on them.
Recovered from the suspects were eight medium heat sealed transparent plastic sachets of shabu weighing 50 grams and the buy-bust boodle money.
