A 62-year-old store owner was shot dead by one of the two riding-in-tandem criminals Wednesday afternoon in Caloocan City.

Businessman Jaime Tamayo was manning his store at the Upper Little Baguio St., Miramonte Heights, Brgy. 180 when two men, wearing face masks and helmets arrived at around 2 p.m. and parked their motorcycle in front of the store.

One of the suspects, wearing black jacket, alighted and without a word shot the victim once in the head at close range that resulted in his instantaneous death.

Witness Christopher Villanueva, 28, of Kaong St., Brgy. 179 told police that he was buying something from the victim’s store when the incident happened.

Elements of Caloocan Police Community (PCP) 4 led by P/Maj. Rommel Ebarle immediately conducted a follow-up operation but they failed to identify and arrest the suspects while the motive behind the killing is yet to be determined.
