A CHINESE employee of Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) who was accosted for violating city ordinance that prohibits going out without quarantine pass found himself in deep trouble after policemen allegedly seized from him illegal drugs Monday afternoon in Pasay City.

Elements of Pasay Police Sub Station 10 were conducting a strict implementation of modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) along Seaside Boulevard at around 4:30 p.m. when they chanced upon Huang Hai Tao, 25, of 1171 11th floor Tower C. Shore Residence, Bgy. 76 Zone 10 while standing in front of Alfa Mart Shore 2 without barangay quarantine clearance.

When frisked, Huang yielded a small heat-sealed plastic sachet containing 10.2 grams of suspected shabu, with standard drug price amounting to P69,360, disposable lighter, sulfur soap and petroleum jelly.

Pasay police chief P/Col. Ericson Dilag said the suspect is now detained at the Sub Station 10 Custodial Facility pending his presentation for inquest proceedings before the Pasay City Prosecutor’s Office for violation of R.A. 9165, R.A. 11332 and proclamation No. 922 declaring state of public health emergency.
