A 22-YEAR–OLD Chinese woman allegedly responsible in sneaking illegal drugs inside police custodial facility was arrested in a buy-bust operation Saturday afternoon in Pasay city.

Xueming Chen was nabbed by elements of Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) at around 4 p.m. inside Tower D, Shell Residences, Bgy. 76 after she handed a pack of shabu to an undercover cop in exchange for P8,000 marked money composed of one piece of genuine P1,000 bill and eight pieces of boodle money.

SDEU chief P/Capt. Cecilio Tomas, Jr. said the arrest of Xueming stemmed from the earlier greyhound operation they conducted inside their custodial facility that resulted in the arrest of person under police custody (PUPC) identified as Wen Bo, 33, Chinese national, resident of 1055 Tower A Shell Residences, EDSA, Bgy. 76 and the confiscation of three grams of shabu worth P20,400 and several pieces of drug paraphernalia.

During interrogation, Wen Bo identified Xueming Chen as the source of illegal drugs being smuggled inside the custodial facility prompting Capt. Tomas to conduct buy-bust operation that resulted in the arrest of the Chinese woman.

Police seized from the arrested suspect more or less 11.71 grams of shabu with an estimated street value worth P79,628.00.

Pasay police chief P/Col. Dario Menor said the Chinese woman was presented for inquest proceedings before the Pasay City Prosecutor’s Office on charges for violation of R.A 9165 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.
