MARIKINA City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) nabbed five suspected drug pushers including a minor in different anti-drug operations in the city the other night.
A report submitted to Eastern Police District (EPD) director Brig. Gen. Christopher Tambungan said the drug peddlers based in Bgy. Sta. Elena and Malanday were responsible in the proliferation of drugs in the areas.
Investigation showed the operation was conducted after a week of surveillance by SDEU teams who received information about the continuous drug peddling activities.
Teams of SDEU first conducted operation along Shoe Ave. beside Tan Tan Men house, Bgy. Sta Elena, Marikina City at around 7:30 a.m. and nabbed four suspects identified as Ethan Joshua Haboc , alias Nathan, 24, student of Arellano University in Pasig City and resident of Bgy. Sto. Niño, Marikina City; Kenneth Magpayo alias Keneth, 27, of Cainta, Rizal and John Jefferson DeGracia ,alias Kanu, 20, and Caira Gadian ,alias Kalay, 20, both residents in Bgy. Malanday, Marikina City and a minor.
Police seized 5 sachets of suspected shabu a P500 bill used as buy bust money, P670 recovered money and one empty small envelop.
The arrested suspects are now detained at the Marikina Police detention cell, facing charges of violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The arrested minor was immediately turned over to the custody of the DSWD.
