Drug den dismantled in Makati, 6 nabbed

AUTHORITIES dismantled an alleged drug den and arrested six drug personalities, including three women who were caught in the act of sniffing shabu Thursday nght in Makati City.

Makati police chief Senior Supt. Rogelio Simon identified the suspects as Jerick Soriano, 21, of Valenzuela City and allegedly the maintainer of drug den; Neil Quiquiles, 33, driver of  Bacolod City, Negros Occidental; Arthur Posadas, 40, cook; Michelle Bonito, 30, a loan agent; Lady Lee Pidlaoan, 21, therapist; and Kate Bernadeth Rivera, 22, all of Malvar St., Bgy. Bangkal, Makati City.

Police said elements of Makati Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) conducted an anti-illegal drug operation at 5 p.m. along Malvar St., Bgy. Bangkal following a tip from their informant regarding an alleged drug den in an unnumbered house in the area.

When policemen peeped through a slightly opened window, they saw an ongoing drug session inside which prompted them to barge in and arrested the suspects.

Recovered inside the drug den were several plastic sachets of undetermined quantity of shabu, unsealed plastic sachets with traces of shabu, three lighters, aluminum foils, four glass pipe and an improvise plastic pipe used in the drug session.

Senior Supt. Simon said the suspects will be charged with violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 before the Makati City Prosecutor’s Office.
