A SURPRISE inspection of the Misamis Oriental Provincial Jail early morning Wednesday resulted in the confiscation of contrabands including drugs and mobile phones, Police Regional Office 10 director, Brigadier General Rolando B. Anduyan reported yesterday.

According to the official, members of the Misamis Oriental Police Provincial Office under Colonel Robert Roy Bahian and provincial jail guards conducted their Oplan ‘Greyhound’ inside the provincial jail  where they recovered three heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, several drug paraphernalia, 20 cell phone units, several cell phone charges, 15 improvised bladed weapons and playing cards.

The operation likewise led in the arrest of two men identified as Jay Bade, 41, and Nicholson Parajes,37, both residents of VIllview Upper Carmen, Cagayan de Oro City.

An investigation is now ongoing to find out how the banned prohibited drugs, mobile phones and other contraband found their way inside the provincial jail which is supposedly under a very tight security.

Bahian said that they are coordinating their investigation with jail warden Dominador Tagarda.
