Ex-tanod rapes neighbor

A former barangay tanod and tagged as number one most wanted criminal of the Eastern Police District (EPD) who has been accused of raping his  neighbor with mental disability in Pasig City was collared by members of  District Special Operations Unit (DSOU) during an operation in Antipolo, City Monday night.  

Reports submitted to PBrig.Gen Christopher Tambungan, EPD director,  showed the suspect was identified as Joselito Santillan, 44, a former bgy. Tanod of Barangay dela Paz, Pasig City and now currently employed as janitor in a university in Antipolo City.  

He was collared by members of DSOU headed by PMajor Darwin Guererro during an operation in his live- in partner’s house in Sitio Boso- Boso , Bgy.San Jose, Antipolo City at around 6:25 p.m.

The suspect’ s arrest was based on the strength of an arrest warrant  issued by Judge Maria Garcia A. Cadiz-Casacla of  Pasig Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 155 for a rape charges dated  January 2018.
