A CONSTRUCTION worker was critically injured when he fell from the roof of a building Friday before noon in Valenzuela City.
Remy Dellava, 55, of Libis St. Canumay East was rushed to Valenzuela Medical Center with severe head and body injuries he sustained in a fall from the roof of Mackay Industrial Corporation located at 86 R. Jacinto St., Canumay West.
A report received by Valenzuela police chief P/Col. David Nicolas Poklay said Dellava was repairing the roof of the building at around 11:20 a.m. when he stepped on the rusted portion of the roof causing him to fall to the pavement below.
Randy Cata, an employee of the establishment who witnessed the incident, took the victim to the nearest hospital with the assistance of the nearby barangay.
Valenzuela police homicide investigators who responded to the area said the victim fell more or less 50 feet from the roof of the building.
