Family of 4, 54 others nabbed in Quezon City operations

TWO unidentified men involved in selling stolen motorcycles were killed during an entrapment operation in Quezon City on Thursday night.

Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Director, Police Chief Superintendent Joselito T Esquivel Jr said, the slain suspects were identified only as alias Ian Diaz and alias Jessie, between 20 to 30 years old.

A report gathered from Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit of QCPD showed that the suspects allegedly attempted to sell a motorcycle which was believed to have been stolen for only P15,000 to a police poseur buyer

At about 7:30 p.m., thursday, a buy-bust operation was set in their safehouse located at No. 24 Forestry corner Mines St., Bgy. Vasra. During the transaction, the suspects sensed the presence of policemen and drew their firearms and fired towards the authorities which resulted in a shootout and death of the suspects.

Investigators recovered three motorcycles believed to have been stolen, one caliber .45 pistol, with five live ammunition, one caliber .38 revolver with three live ammunition, three misfired bullets, seven sachets of shabu, , a cellular phone and the P15,000 buy-bust money.
