A TOP female drug trafficker in Metro Manila was arrested and an estimated P14 million worth of prohibited drugs confiscated yesterday in Quezon City.
National Capital Region Police Office chief Director Guillermo Lorenzo T. Eleazar identified the suspect as Evette Magallanes Tividad, 39, and residing at Room 2516 of Studio A Condominium located at the corner of Xavierville Avenue and Esteban Abada Street, in Barangay Loyola Heights, Q.C.
The suspect is believed to be a main supplier of the designer drug called ‘Ecstasy’ being sold in different posh bars and other party venues in the metropolis.
Eleazar said combined agents of the NCPO-Regional Drug Enforcement Unit and the Quezon City Police District conducted the raid at around 8:30 a.m. and seized 3,500 pieces of Ecstacy tablets with a street value of P5.25 million, around 2.5 kilos of the high-grade marijuana (Kush) worth P3,750,000 and 25 liters of liquid Ecstasy worth P5 million. Also recovered from the suspect’s possession were the marked money.
Eleazar described Tividad as a member of a criminal gang engaged in the trafficking of party drugs and Kush in Metro Manila.
The suspect will be facing non-bailable charges for selling and possession of dangerous drugs under Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
