A Filipino-American was nabbed by the NAIA-PDEA for alleged possession of liquid marijuana from China.
The suspect, identified as Hamre Tamayo Orion Alfonso, 27, of Wisconsin, USA and whose given address in the Philippines is Merville in Parañaque City, was arrested after having been found to be the owner of the said shipment from China.
It was learned that the liquid marijuana was discovered after an initial examination was conducted by authorities both from the Customs bureau and the PDEA. The vape cartridges where the liquid was found was initially declared to contain chocolates, based on receipt.
The 30 vape cartridges were reportedly filled with liquid marijuana with a street value of P45,000. It was supposedly sent by one Michael Arash Abedzadeh from Shanghai, China.
Alfonso was held by authorities after he claimed said vape cartridges at the Central Mail Exchange Center on Domestic Road in Pasay City.
