LUXURY vehicles including a car of Senator JV Ejercito were razed in a fire at an auto repair shop yesterday morning in Mandaluyong City.
Senator Ejercito said he felt like he lost a real buddy after his decade-old “lucky car”, a Toyota Sequioa, was burned. He was campaigning in Vigan, Ilocos Sur when he learned of the incident.
Reports from Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP-Mandaluyong City) showed the fire struck at the Auto Plus Shop located on Florida Street, in Bgy. Wack-Wack, Mandaluyong City, at around 11:35 a.m. The fire immediately spread and gutted the whole establishment.
Sen. Ejercito said his car was undergoing repair and maintenance at the auto shop.
“Feeling sentimental because we’ve been through so many battles and it was my most reliable, not to mention ‘lucky’ car. We’ll be missing this car,” Ejercito said.
Aside from the Sequioa, the senator’s Ford Everest which was in the shop for maintenance checkup was also burned.
