POLICE arrested a noodle house attendant who stabbed and wounded a 19-year-old student and destroyed an unattended motorcycle after he went berserk Friday evening in Caloocan City.
Arjay Agcaoili, 19, of Phase 10A, Package 2, Amscaller Association, Barangay 171, Bagumbong, was arrested in a follow-up operation conducted by elements of Caloocan Police Community Precinct (PCP) 6.
Investigation showed that at around 9 p.m., while Joven Tacleon, of Lot 581, Bgy. 171, Bagumbong was standing in front of Visaya Sari-Sari store located at Amscaller Association, the suspect approached him and for no apparent reason stabbed him in the chest then fled on foot towards an unknown direction.
The victim was rushed by his father to Dr. Jose N. Rodriguez Memorial Hospital where he underwent surgical operation.
Earlier, the suspect was seen punching a bystander along Amscaller Association before he intentionally kicked a motorcycle parked unattended in front of Visaya sari-sari store, shattering its headlight and side mirror when it fell to the cemented pavement.
Antonio Hellares, 44, the owner of the motorcycle, said he saw the suspect pull out a bladed weapon and for unknown reason stabbed Tacleon in the chest then fled, prompting him to seek police assistance.
Caloocan police deputy chief for administration Supt. Ferdie Del Rosario said charges of frustrated homicide and malicious mischief will be filed by police against the suspect before the Caloocan City Prosecutor’s Office.
