Gold bangles stolen

POLICE arrested a 49-year-old house help for stealing gold bangles worth more than P.2 million from her employer Wednesday evening in Caloocan City.

Emma Villarino, native of Buenavista, Marinduque and stay-in house helper at the residence of her employer at 0233 A1 Florencia St., Grace Park, Brgy. 69 was placed under arrest after one of the missing gold bangles was recovered from her possession.

Caloocan deputy police chief for administration P/Lt. Col. Ferdie Del Rosario said Amerah Sarip, 32, businesswoman, sought the assistance of Caloocan Police Community Precinct (PCP) 2 at around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday after she discovered that four of her gold bangles worth a total of P280,000 placed inside her safety deposit box were missing.

Police immediately invited Villarino, who at first denied having knowledge of the missing gold bangles, but during tactical interrogation, one of the missing gold bangles was recovered by police from his possession.
