MANILA Mayor Isko Moreno yesterday said he will not be running for vice president or president in the 2022 elections.

“Mahal ko ang Maynila at ang mga Manilenyo na nagluklok sa akin upang pamunuan ang lungsod kaya’t hinding-hindi ko sila iiwan at bibiguin,” Moreno said, adding that his decision is already final.

“It’s not gonna happen.

Still, he thanked those making such calls for thinking that he is presidential material  after they were impressed with the improvements happening now in Manila.

Moreno said what he has done so far is nothing as there is a lot that has to be done since Manila has been sick and overburdened with problems.

“I will devote my time, effort and focus on making Manila a better place and the lives of Manilans much better,” Moreno said.
