Illegal recruiter arrested

A suspected illegal recruiter who duped applicants for waiters in Australia was nabbed after his prospective victims discovered his illegal activities through social   networking site Facebook following an entrapment operation conducted by Mandaluyong Police, Thursday afternoon.

Reports submitted to Eastern Police District (EPD) Director Chief Supt.  Bernabe Balba by Mandaluyong  Police chief, Senior Supt. Moises Villaceran Jr., identified the suspect as Brandy Peralta, former call center agent and resident of No. 426 Chateau Verde Condominium, Valle Verde 1, Bgy.Ugong, Pasig City.

Peralta was collared in an entrapment operation  in front of Shaw Center Mall, along Shaw Blvd, Bgy. Addition Hills at around 3:20 pm after he allegedly received P1,900 cash from his three victims.

SPO1 Ricky Corpuz, of the Mandaluyong Criminal Investigation Unit chief  said the suspect was arrested based on the complaint by three call center workers identified as Khevin Mark Lenard,30, of Bgy.Fortune Marikina  City; Jay-Ar Encio,27, of Antipolo City and Leonardo Pineda,40, of Bgy.Sta Lucia, Pasig City.

The victims told police they met the suspect when he was also working as a call center agent in their company .
