AN arriving Indonesian national was nabbed by alert authorities at the NAIA Terminal 3 yesterday for trying to sneak into the country eight kilos of suspected shabu worth P54 million.
NAIA-Customs district collector Carmelita Talusan identified the foreigner as Agnes Alexandra, from Seam Reap, Cambodia. She arrived from Cambodia on board Cebu Pacidic flight 5J 528 at around 2 a.m.
It was learned that Alexndra’s luggage was duly marked before being placed on the carousel by personnel from the Customs Inspection Project. When subjected to inspection, it yielded white powdery substances wrapped in alluminum foil ang black plastic which was then put inside a secret compartment of her black trolley bag, to mislead customs when it passes through the x-ray machine.
