MANILA Mayor Isko Moreno yesterday appealed to the public to practice health protocols as he revealed that three key officials of City Hall have been detected as positive for COVID-19 during weekend.

Moreno said this yesterday, as he commended the Manila Health Department under Dr. Arnold Pangan, for its important role in fighting the COVID-19 as it marked its anniversary yesterday.

The MHD was cited by the mayor for its efforts in helping contain the virus while still implementing other health programs of the government.

He said City Administrator Felix Espiritu was one of the early patients who luckily survived, as he pointed out that the virus does not exempt anyone.

“Nandiyan po si COVID hinihintay po tayo. ‘Wag ninyong hayaan na malagay kayo sa alanganin, It’s really dangerous and we really have to take care of ourselves. Simple lang, wear your mask, wash your hands, keep particular distance, stay home as much as possible and practice due diligence,” Moreno said.
