A CASH bonanza was announced by Mayor Isko Moreno for the more than 607,000 families in Manila and over 10,000 regular employes of the city government.

In his live public address, Moreno said the 607,000 families will be receiving beginning Wednesday  (May 20) the second wave of the Manila local government’s P1,000 city amelioration crisis assistance fund (CACAF).

Today meanwhile, the regular employes of the city numbering 10,300 in all will be getting their midyear bonus in advance, to help them cope with the additional expenses entailed by the crisis  brought about by COVID-19.

In the case of the families who will be receiving their CACAF, Moreno asked the barangay chairs to send the list of the beneficiaries in their respective areas of jurisdiction via ‘excel file’ instead of sending pictures of screengrabs.

Send to us kung paano ninyo tinipa sa computer. Soft copy na ang inyong ipadadala. Di mae-entertain pag ‘pdf’ dahil isa-isang ita-type yun. Sana, nagkaliwanagan tayo” Morenoexplained.

Moreno said those who have complied with the said requirement will be the first to be processed, saying that while the city government is aiding the barangays knowing that their budget is limited, the least that barangay chairs can do is do it (list) properly.

The deadline for the submission of the lists is May 19, with Moreno saying they will be accepting lists even beyond office hours.
