Authorities arrested a woman for possession of suspected shabu during her visit to a friend at the custodial facility of Talipapa Police Station (PS 3).
Quezon City Police District (QCPD) director Chief Supt. Joselito T. Esquivel Jr. said Joan Tado, 27, of Bgy. Balon Bato, was placed under arrest after she yielded a sachet of shabu that was found in her pocket during a mandatory body search conducted to visitors of detainees.
The report said Tado was supposed to visit a female friend at PS 3 when she was caught with the illegal drug at 3:10 p.m on Saturday.
Meanwhile, 12 other drug suspects were arrested by different police stations.
Operatives of La Loma Police Station arrested Edgar Balajadia, 48, of Bgy. Sto. Domingo, and Jesus Encinas, 67, of Bgy. Manresa, at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 1, 2018 at 7 Orchid Alley, Biak Na Bato St., Bgy. Manresa. A concerned citizen tipped off the police of the alleged drug session of the suspects. When verified, they were caught sniffing shabu. Confiscated were two sachets of shabu, two aluminum foil strips with traces of shabu and two disposable lighters.
Rodolfo Alviz, 46, of Bgy. Sta. Teresita, was arrested in another operation conducted by La Loma Police Station at 1:30 a.m. yesterday along Isarog St. corner N. Roxas St. He was caught in possession of two sachets of shabu during validation of his illegal drug activity.
Masambong Police Station (PS 2) arrested Roberto Balda Jr., 41, of Bgy. Tandang Sora, and Zyrus Paraiso, 37, of Bgy. Ramon Magsaysay, at 2:30 a.m. Saturday along Bukidnon St., Bgy. Ramon Magsaysay, Bago-Bantay. A concerned citizen tipped off the police on the illegal drug activity of the suspects. When verified, they caught the suspects in the act of transacting drugs. When frisked, each of them yielded a sachet of shabu.
Operatives of Cubao Police Station (PS 7) arrested Danilo Pagaduan, 34, of Bgy. Old Balara; Renell Obrar, 33, of Bgy. Loyola Heights and Maritess Lasin, 41, of 108 Pansol Bungad, UP Diliman, in a buy bust operation at about 8:30 p.m. Saturday along Commonwealth Avenue, Bgy. Batasan. Seized were 54 sachets of shabu worth P27,000, two cellular phones, a motorcycle and the buy-bust money.
Anonas Police Station (PS 9) arrested Emil Diaz, 27, of Bgy. Old Capitol Site, at about 4:30 a.m. yesterday in a shanty house located at Dahlia St., Bgy. Old Capitol Site. A concerned citizen reported to the police his illegal drug activity. When verified, he was caught sniffing shabu. He yielded a sachet of shabu and two aluminum foil strips with traces of shabu.
Kamuning Police Station (PS 10) arrested Mathew Bravante, 20, of Bgy. Bago Bantay and Alcris Jesimiel, 22, of 1752 MRB Pilot Drive Commonwealth, at about 2:05 p.m. Saturday beside Flight Lounge on Scout Tuazon corner Scout Borromeo, Bgy. South Triangle. The operatives were conducting Oplan Disiplina whey they chanced upon the suspects having a pot session. Confiscated were two glass tubes with traces of burned marijuana leaves and several drug paraphernalia.
The same operatives arrested Sandrew Orario, 46, of Bgy. Pinyahan, in a buy-bust operation at about 6 p.m. Saturday along NIA Road in front of Post Office, Bgy. Pinyahan. Seized were two sachets of shabu, drug paraphernalia and the buy-bust money.
Another buy-bust operation was conducted by Kamuning Police Station at 7:15 a.m. yesterday inside Strawberry Hometel, Bgy. Laging Handa that resulted in the arrest of Shiela Villa and Kimberly Laorio, both of Bgy. Laging Handa. Seized were one sealed and one unsealed sachets with undetermined amount of shabu, drug paraphernalia and the buy-bust money. Both were newly-identified drug personalities.
The drug suspects were charged with violation of RA 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Esquivel commended the station commanders and their men for their good work and untiring efforts against illegal drugs.
