MANILA Mayor Isko Moreno and Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna yesterday led the doctors, nurses and medical staff of the Justice Abad Santos General Hospital (JASGEN) in receiving an ISO certification for its world-class service.

In a simple conferment ceremony held at the Manila City Hall, Lacuna said the city is proud to receive ISO certification 9001-2015 from Tuv Sud Asia-Pacific for JASGEN. She encouraged hospital and JASGEN officials to continue providing world-class and reliable medical services. The certificate will be valid until August 2021.

Lacuna, who is helping Moreno by taking charge of the six public hospitals since she herself was a doctor, commended the hospital workers for providing a decade of quality medical care and services.

Moreno thanked JASGEN staff and workers for their efforts. He also cited the organization that helped improved the hospital services such as the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. represented by external affairs committee chair Nelson Guevarra, the Rotary Club of Chinatown and barangay officials.

Guevarra said their group is committed to help Moreno and the city government in every way possible, citing the countless positive developments he had introduced in just two months, especially the road clearing operation which he said is highly beneficial for most businessmen.
