A 25-year-old prospective applicant for a job abroad was killed by her live-in partner who allegedly shot her dead the other night in Malate, Manila.
A probe by PO2 Joel Nazareno of the Manila Police District-Homicide Section said that the incident took place at 7:33 p.m. at the corner of San Andres and Tuazon Streets in Malate.
Prior to the shooting, victim Jenny Rose Manila, a domestic helper applicant at the Ortiz Employment Agency, a native of Sto. Niño, Cagayan and residing at No. 1314 Taal St., Malate, Manila, reportedly received a call from her live-in partner Jervis Cabrera, a security guard.
The suspect reportedly told the victim that they would be having dinner at the 7-11 convenience store Quirino branch.
Right away, the victim got out of the house and walked toward San Andres Street, to meet with the suspect in front of the Assassins Gaming Sounds as agreed upon.
A CCTV footage showed the suspect trying to put his arm on the victim’s shoulder but the latter resisted. Moments later, the suspect was reportedly seen drawing his gun of still unknown calibre and then firing at the victim, killing the latter instantly.
The victim then fled on foot and was later identified by the victim’s fellow applicant.
The suspect is being hunted down by the police who continue investigating the incident.
