Lending firm employee arrested for stealing P50K from client

A female employee of a lending company was arrested for allegedly stealing over P50,000 from a company client.

Now facing charges of qualified theft at the Manila Prosecutor’s Ofice is Lalaine Silvederio, 27, loan officer of Easycash Lending Company Inc. and residing at G. Tuazon St., Sampaloc, Manila.

Chief Insp. Eduardo Pama, chief of the Theft and Robbery Section of the Manila Police District (MPD), said that on November 17, complainant Aileen Pasadilla lodged a complaint alleging that P52,800 is missing from her loan when she withdrew it from her BDO Easycash card no. 5267270036416317.

According to her, the missing amount was withdrawn between November 9 and 12 so she went to the lending company on November 15, 2018 to complain.

An audit was made by one Liezel Juban until it was traced that Silvederio was the one who took the money.

The suspect was arrested by a team composed of Maj. Pama, SPO3 Eufenio Castillo, SPO2 Dennis Bernabe, PO1 Ervic Lacsa and PO1 Paul Dick Valencia.
