THE Light Rail Transit Line 2 (LRT-2) will shorten its trips by two hours on Christmas eve and New Year’s eve.
An advisory issued by the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) said that the move is in anticipation of the expected decrease in the number of commuters on the two days and to give its employees the needed break to celebrate the holidays with their loved ones.
The holiday schedule of the LRT-2 said that from the former 10 p.m, the last trip on December 24 will be at 8 p.m. from Santolan Station in Pasig going to Recto Station in Manila.
Meantime, the train from Recto Station will leave at 8:30 p.m. instead of its former schedule which is 10:30 p.m.
On December 31, trains from Santolan Station will leave at 7 p.m. instead of its regular 10 p.m. schedule while the last train from Recto station will leave at 7:30 p.m. instead of the usual 10:30 p.m.
