A 20-year-old man was found dead inside a laundry shop in Sampaloc, Manila, the other day.
The fatality, identified as Christian Jay Santos, of San Ramon Malig, Isabela and a stay-in caretaker at the Laboratory Self-Service Laundry located at 859 M. Jhocson St., Sampaloc, Manila, was found lifeless at around 9:20 a.m. on his folding bed inside the said shop.
The Manila Police District-Homicide Section is looking into the incident to determine if there was foul play.
Initial investigation showed that Santos had been working in the said shop only for seven months and that he was last seen alive the night before, at 10 p.m. while seated beside the cashier.
Police gathered from Lew Patrick Galiza, 37, a maritime instructor, that she was waiting for her class and was near the shop when he noticed a commotion. When he checked what it was all about, he saw them looking into the glass window, from where the victim could be seen not moving.
He helped open the door and found the victim to be dead already, that they decided to report the matter to the police.
