Man, mistress caught in Makati love nest

AUTHORITIES arrested a man and his suspected mistress after they were traced by the former’s wife in their alleged love nest Monday evening in Makati City.

Makati police chief Senior Supt. Rogelio Simon said the 29-year-old graphic artist, whose identity was not revealed since the case was a private matter, and his 23-year old alleged mistress were arrested at around 6:30 p.m. along Dian Street Bgy. San Isidro, Makati City

Police said the wife of the graphic artist sought the assistance of Bantay Bayan Alvin Padilla and Roland Palapoz of Bgy. San Isidro after she traced her husband and his alleged mistress in their love nest on Dian Street.

PO1 Michael Acierto and Violence Against Women and their Children Officer Ma. Teresa Benavides of Police Community Precinct (PCP) 3, arrested the man and his suspected mistress before they turned them over to the Women and Children’s Protection Desk (WCPD) of Makati City police.

Senior Supt. Simon said that if found guilty of concubinage, the husband may face two years, four months and one day to six years of imprisonment. The alleged mistress, if she was aware that her lover is married, will be sentenced to destierro or be prohibited from entering the place or places designated in the sentence or within the radius therein designated, which shall include a distance of 25 kilometers at least, and 250 kilometers at most, from the place designated.
