Man wanted for murder falls

AGENTS of the National Capital Region Police Office last Saturday arrested a 21-year-old murder suspect in Antipolo City and likewise detained his father when he tried to stop the police from making the arrest, NCRPO director Major General Guillermo Lorenzo T. Eleazar said yesterday.

He identified the suspect as Timothy Joseph Tacuycuy, while his father Constante, 53, is now facing charges for obstruction of justice.

Eleazar said members of the NCPRO Regional Special Operations Unit, joined by operatives from the Police Regional Office 4-A Regional Mobile Force Battalion hunted down the suspect in his residence on Sitio Kaysakat 3 in Barangay San Jose, Antipolo City, on Saturday.

He said while the warrant of arrest for murder issued by Judge Rico Sebastian Liwanag of Branch 136 of the Makati City Regional Trial Court is being served, the suspect tried to escape while his father Constante immediately closed their main gate and door and instructed his son to flee through the back door.

However, the officers who have already surrounded the house arrested the young Tacuycuy.
