Manila, food delivery firm pact to benefit 500 trikers

SOME 500 tricycle drivers will benefit from a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA)  entered into by the city government of Manila and a food delivery company.

In the MOA, Moreno said the tricycle drivers who lost their jobs during the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) will benefit from the project.

Moreno said the screening and selection committee will be composed of the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) under Fernan Bermejo and the Manila Traffic and Parking Bureau (MTPB) headed by Dennis Viaje.

Viaje said applicants must be 18 years of age or older, must have an  Iphone 4  cellphone or its equivalent Android phone.  He should also know how to operate and own a motorcycle and have a driver’s license.

The applicant must also be a tricycle driver before the ECQ, Viaje added.
