Manila traffic rerouting

January 26, 2019

THE Manila District Traffic Enforcement Unit (MDTEU) will implement beginning 3 a.m. today road closures and a traffic rerouting scheme to give way to the “commemoration ride” for the SAF 44 Heroes on Roxas Boulevard in Manila.

An advisory from the MDTEU said that the southbound lane of Roxas Boulevard from Katigbak to P. Ocampo Street will be closed to traffic.

Motorists coming from Bonifacio Drive who need to use the southbound lane of Roxas Bouevard may turn left to Burgos Avenue to point of destination.

Vehicles coming from Jones, MacArthur and Quezon bridges needing to take the southbound lane of Roxas Boulevard may go straight to Taft Avenue to point of destination.

Meanwhile, those cruising along the westbound lane of P. Burgos may turn right to Bonifacio Drive and then take the U-turn slot at the eastbound lane of P. Burgos Avenue to point of destination while vehicles from T.M. Kalaw going to Roxas Boulevard should turn left to M.H. Del Pilar or use the Roxas Boulevard service road.

Vehicles from UN Avenue going to Roxas Boulevard may turn left to M.H. Del Pilar or use the Roxas Boulevard service road while those passing through the westbound lane of Pres. Quirino Avenue and then the southbound lane of Roxas Boulevard should turn left to M. Adriatico Street.

Vehicles from the westbound lane of P. Ocampo and passing through the southbound lane of Roxas Boulevard are to turn left to F.B. Harrison to point of destination while those going to the Manila Ocean Park, H20 Hotel or Manila Hotel are to use the Katigbak drive as access road.

Closed roads will be opened to vehicles depending on the traffic situation.
