GOOD news to senior citizens, solo parents, persons with disabilities (PWDs) and students of the Universidad de Manila (UDM) and the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM).

Manila Mayor Isko Moreno yesterday signed an agreement with PayMaya which would ensure that senior citizens, solo parents, PWDs and students from state universities will be able to get their financial assistance from the city with much ease beginning next year.

Under the agreement, the beneficiaries will receive cards which they can use to withdraw at any ATM machine nearest  them.

Moreno thanked PayMaya for the free cards which he said will be distributed ahead of the implementation.

Manila City Ordinances number 8564 and 8565 passed by the Manila City Council under Vice Mayor and presiding officer Honey Lacuna, Majority Floorleader Joel Chua and members of the majority bloc on the initiative of Moreno provide P500 monthly allowance for Grade 12 students, PWDs, solo parents and senior citizens and P1,000 for PLM and UDM students.
