Messenger with P200K robbed, killed by armed suspects

A RESTAURANT messenger who had just withdrawn money at  a bank was robbed and killed by motorcycle riding criminals yesterday afternoon in Pasig City.

Pasig Police chief Col. Rizalito Gapas said the still unidentified victim died from gunshot wounds in the body while being treated in  hospital.

Gapas said the victim was walking on San Martin St. in Bgy. Kapitolyo back to the restaurant when the unidentified armed suspects on a motorcycle blocked his path at around 12:57 p.m.

The motorcycle back rider held the victim at gunpoint , quickly shot him and took his bag containing P200,000.

Police said the victim had just withdrawn the company’s revolving fund at the BDO bank branch in Timog, Quezon City and was walking back to office when the incident happened. The suspects immediately fled and are now the subject of manhunt operation.

Pasig police are still investigating the incident.
