August 25, 2019

BELIEVING in their  social media savviness and influence, National Capital Region Police Office ( NCRPO) Director  Major  General Guillermo Eleazar urged the millennials to help the PNP in disciplining abusive cops and rewarding those who displayed good deeds.

Eleazar said the millennials can help the PNP by posting or sharing  bad and good behaviour of policemen in the streets and commu ities particularly in Metro Manila.

The NCRPO Director explained that  NCRPO  is social media active adding  that they were able to punish or acknowledge policemen due to the photos and videos posted and shared in several social media platforms.

Eleazar cited the case of a policemen who bullied a call center agent in San Juan and a policeman who blocked and poked a gun at a motorist in Quezon City.

These cases became viral in the social media and  eventually resulted to the relief of both cops involved.

Aside from these, there were also several policemen who were awarded due to viral videos of their good deeds like the case of a Manila policeman who chased a snatcher in Manila and the cop who prevented a suicide of a man in Paraaque City.

The two policemen became the the awardees of the newly-launched Pulis Magiting Program of the NCRPO.

Eleazar assured the public that if they are quick in punishing abusive policemen, they are also quick in giving reward to those who deserve it.
