A TOTAL of 17 drug suspects -- one of whom a minor -- were nabbed by operatives from the Manila Police District (MPD) during a series of anti-illegal drug operations in various places in Manila, resulting in the confiscation of some P2 million worth of suspected shabu.
MPD director P/BGen. Vicente Danao, Jr. identified the arrested suspects as Laurence Pacultad, 30; Orlando Bautista, 39; Cristia Balao, 28; Melissa Baga, 43; Raquel dela Rosa, 48; Erickson Aquino, 29; Roberto Aniag, 40; Richard Miranda, 31; Jenalyn Osi, 29; Wilson del Rosario, 30; Edward Tolentino, 21; Aron John dela Cruz, 18; Aljun Lopez, 21; Basit Ubaton, 49; one alias ‘Inday’, 17; Anwar Umpara, 19; and Love Torres, 32, all residents of Manila.
The suspects were arrested by the MPD-Pandacan Police Station 10 (PS-10) in the drug operations conducted between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m. the other day in the following areas: Maligaya Street, Kahilum II, Pandacan, Manila; Pedro Gil corner Quirino Avenue, Paco, Manila; Mabini Street, Ermita, and Arlegui corner Globo de Oro Streets in Quiapo, Manila.
Police recovered a total of 22 plastic sachets containing shabu that weighs 285 grams worth P2 million; P4,800 buy-bust money and drug paraphernalia.
The suspects were charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 before the Manila Prosecutors Office.
