Mobile learning center donated to Manila youths

MAYOR Isko Moreno announced that the city government of Manila had entered into a memorandum of agreement for the turnover of a Mobile Learning Center (MLC) for the use of youngsters in Baseco.

Along with the MLC, also turned over to the city were different kinds of learning materials.

Moreno said the MOA signing with the JCI Manila and World Vision aims to provide the children in Baseco with learning tools.

Through the supervision of Manila Department of Social Welfare chief Re Fugoso, the Child Development Center of Barangay 649 at the Baseco Compound in Port Area, Manila, had been chosen as recipient of the said MLC and the learning materials as well.

According to Moreno, the learning materials consist of tablet devices, computer set and wifi connection, notebooks, learning modules among, others.

“Ito ay malaking tulong po upang mapaunlad natin ang pagkatuto ng mga kabataan sa Baseco,” Moreno said.

He called on the beneficiaries of the project to take good care of the learning materials so that after them, others may be able to use them too.
