THE National Parks Development Committee has been awarded by the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) for upholding the Freedom of Information (FOI).
PCOO chief Martin Andanar commended the NPDC under the leadership of executive director Penelope Belmonte via a certificate of compliance, citing the agency for being fully compliant with the FOI 2018 requirements set forth by the Inter-Agency Task Force on the Harmonization of National Government Performance, Monitoring, Information and Reporting Systems (Task Force Administrative Order (AO) 25, s. 2011).
It was learned that the NPDC was given such certificate for its full transparency in all its transactions.
‘We are just complying with the order of President Duterte to be totally transparent specially when it comes to disbursement of government funds,’ Belmonte said.
She thanked the office of Andanar for recognizing the efforts of the NPDC in maintaining the highest standards of governance, beginning with transparency in all its transactions and making them accessible for public scrutiny at all times.
‘Everything that the public wants to know is easily accessible with just one click.’ she said.
Belmonte also invited the public to visit the projects and major improvements embarked on by the NPDC to give the parkgoers the ultimate experience when visiting Rizal Park.
