NATIONAL Capital Region Police Office director, Major General Debold M. Sinas yesterday said they have officially activated their Fire Base Section inside Camp Bagong Diwa in Bicutan, Taguig City as they acquired a fire truck with the help of the NCRPO Regional Advisory Council.

Sinas said last April 1, the NCRPO-RAC donated to them a 2nd-hand fire truck. The fire truck was retrofitted and its personnel trained by officers from the Taguig City Bureau of Fire Protection under Fire Marshal, Superintendent Randolf Bides.

The NCRPO chief said members of their Regional Headquarters Support Unit underwent training on how to properly operate the firetruck and its equipment

After finishing the training, the 12-man NCRPO Fire Base Section was officially activated to respond to any fire incident inside Camp Bagong Diwa and its nearby areas.

“Our fire base section will be ready to respond to fire taking place in areas nearby Camp Bagong Diwa and wait for reinforcement,” Sinas said.

The official said their Fire Base Section is leading the decontamination of the entire camp and help water the plants and distribute water in Camp Bagong Diwa during the summer period.
