OUTGOING National Capital Region Police Office Chief Major Guillermo Eleazar yesterday said they will be deploying around 20,000 personnel to secure different venues of the 30th Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) in the country.
The SEA games slated from November 30 to December 11 will have several venues in Metro Manila, Laguna, Bulacan, Tagaytay, Subic, and New Clark City sports complex in Capas, Tarlac.
It was learned from the Philippine Southeast Asian Games Organizing Committee (Phisgoc) that SEA games will have 12 sports venues with 19 sports competition. Twenty-four hotels were also booked for the delegates.
Over 10,000 athletes from Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand, Timor Leste, Singapore and Vietnam will participate in the sports events, according to Phisgoc.
