SAN Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora urged newly-installed San Juan Police chief Col. Jaime Santos to maintain the city’s standing as one of the peaceful places in the Eastern part of Metro Manila.
This was the message of Zamora after Santos officially assumed his post, replacing PCol. Ariel Fulo, in a turnover ceremony led by Eastern Police District (EPD) Brig. Gen Johnson Almazan and EPD deputy director for administration Col. Erson Digal.
Santos, before his new appointment, served in the Philippine National Police Supervisory Office on Security and Investigation Agencies (SOCIA).
Meanwhile, Fulo was promoted to the Regional Community Affairs Division of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO).
In his speech, Zamora said he is confident that the new leadership of San Juan police will continue to excel as he promised his full support to the police force.
He also announced that he will renovate the decade-old San Juan Police Station and start the construction of the EPD headquarters in the city located in front of the San Juan City Hall as earlier announced by his father Rep. Ronnie Zamora on the 45th EPD anniversary.
“With his new leadership in San Juan we will continue to excel. Gusto kong sabihin na itong lumang building na ito ay babaguhin natin. Bata pa lang ako araw-araw nadadaanan ko na ganito na, medyo tumanda na itong facility na ito. Pagtutulungan namin ni Congressman Zamora na magpagawa ng mas bago at malaki na San Juan Police Station. Ang EPD at San juan police pangako na bago matapos ang termino ko tapos yan pareho,” Zamora said.
