CLASSES were suspended at the Mapua University in Intramuros, Manila due to a bomb threat.
A report from the Manila Police District (MPD)-Ermita Police Station 5 (PS-5) said the suspension was made shortly before 10 a.m.
It was learned that the university, located on Muralla Street, Intramuros, received the threat at 9:22 a.m. via a text message sent to student council official Jose Paulo Napao. At 9:25 a.m., the same text message was received by Vinzwill Christian Subaan, another student council official.
The said students immediately informed the school authorities who decided to suspend classes and work to ensure the safety of everyone.
Meanwhile, the school administration said that the students’ day did not go to waste as yesterday was a ‘digital day’ meaning, all classes are held online.
