Northern Police District collars 8 druggies

THE Northern Police District (NPD) arrested eight drug personalities in separate buy-bust operations yesterday night and before dawn yesterday in Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas and Valenzuela cities.

Elements of Caloocan Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) arrested Danilo Enrique, 56, Christoperson Blalukas, 45, Jelenica Hernandez, 25 and Gerlie Delos Santos, 48 during a buy-bust operation at 140 Heroes Del 96 St. Bgy. 65 at around 3:40 a.m. yesterday.

Caloocan police deputy chief for administration Supt. Ferdinand Del Rosario said Enrique, a known drug pusher in the area, tried to elude arrest by running inside a suspected drug den when he noticed that he was transacting with a police decoy.

Policemen later arrested him in a brief chase inside a suspected drug den where three others were caught while in the act of sniffing shabu.

In Malabon, chief of police Senior Supt. Jessie Tamayao, said elements of Police Community Precinct (PCP) 4 arrested Joseph Manalili, 30 along P. Aquino Street, Bgy. Tugatog during a buy-bust operation. When frisked, the suspect yielded six transparent plastic sachets containing undetermined quantity of shabu.

Earlier at around 11:45 p.m., operatives of Navotas police SDEU nabbed Mario Vicente alias “Toyo” 33 when he handed a pack of shabu to a police poseur-buyer along Quintos St. Bgy. San Jose. Two more transparent plastic sachets containing shabu were recovered from him.

In Valenzuela city, SDEU operatives conducted a buy-bust operation against Ronie Montemor, 33, and Sarah Jane Jose, 35 at around 9:45 p.m. along Independence St. Bgy. Gen. T. De Leon which resulted in their arrest.

Valenzuela police chief Senior Supt. David Nicolas Poklay said operatives recovered the marked money and four more transparent plastic sachets containing undetermined quantity of shabu from the suspects who were allegedly considered notorious drug pushers in the area.
